Once the major cup competition of the cricketing summer the RL50 1 day cup commences with the focus of the Media and the ECB firmly elsewhere. In the final round of matches at the group stage there is still all to play for. Foxes currently sit in 5th place 5 pts behind Surrey. If we can outscore the London side who play Table topping Somerset by 6 points we can secure 2nd Div status for the last half of the season. There are 3 games left to play in the group stages, Rnd 12 at Chester le Street is followed by a 2 week break when championship action returns before the final 2 home games of the campaign. Whilst its very unlikely that 3 wins would move Foxes up the table there is a deal to be gained by finishing strongly and avoiding the 'wooden spoon' in the North group.
